2022 Operation Santa Claus

The 2022 Operation Santa Claus program is open for the season! Operation Santa is coordinated and facilitated by Clackamas Fire District #1 and has been a tradition within the community for more than 48 years.

While neighborhood parades have historically served to collect donations, these were placed on hold during the pandemic. Despite the event returning, Operation Santa has decided to keep donation collection limited to drop off events. Parades will now focus on bringing cheer and goodwill to residents by way of festive firetrucks, music, twinkling lights, and of course, Santa. There is still fun to be had as residents are encouraged to watch and wave as the procession of emergency vehicles makes its way along the route.

In support of Clackamas Fire’s efforts, the City of Happy Valley will partner with Operation Santa to offer a drop off site during the City’s Tree Lighting event on Sunday, Dec. 4. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item to the event for collection.

Residents can donate at any of Clackamas Fire’s drop off events or even make a monetary donation if that is preferred. For related details, head to https://clackamasfire.com/operation-santa/.
