The backyard burn season’s last day is Tuesday, June 15. Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) is moving into regulated fire season beginning June 16. This means, Clackamas Fire District #1 will not allow any backyard burning or issuance of burn permits during the time ODF has declared fire season. Agricultural growers may still receive a burn permit and will need to follow the agricultural burn message line. Fire season generally runs until October. Recreational fires and barbeques are still allowed. NO BURN BARRELS.
Residents will need to visit the Clackamas Fire District #1 website or ODF’s to determine if you live within ODF boundaries: https://www.oregon.gov/ODF/Fire/Pages/Restrictions.aspx. Residents who live within ODF boundaries, will need to follow ODF restrictions as it relates to the Fire Precaution Levels (FPL). ODF will be in “LOW” beginning June 16.
Residents who live outside the ODF boundaries, are strongly encouraged to follow ODF’s best practices as it relates to each FPL. https://clackamasfire.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/2019-NCAS-District-Regulated-Use-Color-Chart-with-locations.pdf
