Today is International Women’s Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It is also Women’s History Month, a time set aside to specifically honor women’s contributions in American history. For those who are interested in learning more, the Happy Valley Library has collected books for kids, teens, and adults, both fiction and nonfiction that chronicle the lives of extraordinary women, examine historical movements, and address feminist issues.
