HV Police Offer Prescription Pick-up & Delivery
In order to assist Happy Valley’s more vulnerable population, and in support of Governor Kate Brown’s most recent Executive Order regarding social distancing, the Happy Valley Police Department will begin offering a prescription pick-up and delivery service.
Effective April 1, 2020, the Happy Valley Police will pick up life preserving prescription medication and deliver to private residences within Happy Valley, from pharmacies located within the City’s boundaries. This program will be effective for the duration of the governor’s Executive Order, currently set to expire on April 28, 2020.
In order to participate, a resident of Happy Valley would be required to contact the Police Department between the hours of 7am to 5pm, Tuesday through Friday, at 503-760-0123.
You will be asked to provide your name, address, phone number, date of birth, the prescription being requested and the name of the pharmacy.
To help us get the prescriptions to you efficiently we ask you to:
- Contact your local Pharmacy and order the prescription.
- Pre-pay for the prescription over the phone.
- Advise the pharmacy that the Happy Valley Police Department will be picking up the prescription.
- Have valid identification available when the officer arrives at your residence.
We are asking that only those who are known to be vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19, over 60 years of age, and who have a serious, pre-existing medical condition, utilize the service. Our officers will be in uniform with identification and will utilize personal protective equipment and maintain social distancing for all deliveries.
We are all in this together and Happy Valley Police is here to help.
