Message From Mayor Ellis 4.15.20
Hello everyone, My thoughts are always with you and your families and I wish you all good health. We are starting to hear that the COVID-19 curve may be starting to flatten. If this is the case, it is a credit to all of you, but we cannot let our guard down, this is not over. When I served in the United States Coast Guard, one thing we never did was let our guard down. If we did, catastrophic things could happen. We must continue to stay home and stay safe. If you must go out, remember regular hand washing, social distancing and a mask when you are at one of our local businesses. With the beautiful weather we’re having I encourage you to get out and use our trail system, just always remember to keep social distancing. I hope we can get back to our normal lives soon. In the meantime, please continue to support our local businesses that are open. I want to say thank you to our dedicated city employees for doing a great job during these difficult times, and let’s not forget about the thousands of retail workers and truck drivers making sure our daily essentials are available to us. I have always said Happy Valley is like one big family, I’m proud our family has become closer than ever during these trying times.
