The City of Happy Valley has been actively evaluating and monitoring updates related to Coronavirus/COVID-19. With the safety of our residents being a top priority, we wanted to share with you what we are doing to help keep residents and City staff healthy.

First and foremost, our leadership team is actively monitoring information from local, state, and federal health officials and implementing best practices consistent with recommendations set forth. This includes information and directives provided by the Governor of Oregon, U.S. Centers of Disease Control, World Health Organization, Clackamas County Public Health Division, and Oregon Health Authority.

The City has increased the frequency of cleaning and sterilization procedures throughout all city facilities including City Hall, Happy Valley Library, Public Works, Happy Valley Police Department, and public spaces such as the park facilities, bathrooms, and picnic shelters. Hand sanitizer has been made available in all facility common areas and has been provided to individual staff as well for their work spaces. City staff are also practicing social distancing, washing their hands frequently, utilizing hand sanitizer, and have been instructed to stay home if they are not feeling well.

As of current, City services are operating on normal business hours, but if this should change for any reason, we will let you know right away via our City website and social media. Non-essential meetings may be rescheduled as a further preventative measure in efforts to comply with social distancing recommendations. Again, follow us on social media or check the City website for the most current information.

Ultimately, we hope to provide you with peace of mind that the City is doing everything we can to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Please join us in helping keep our community and City staff safe by engaging in good hygiene habits and staying home if you are ill. Our City staff appreciate it!

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate this situation and continue to provide you with up-to-date information.
