City Hall and Happy Valley Library Closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

January 17

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Each year, on the third Monday of January, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the civil rights activist and leader in the movement to end racial segregation in the United States. The day is designated to remembering the life and achievements of MLK Jr. and encourages us to give back to community in honor of his legacy. In Dr. King’s memory, we hope everyone has a chance to make the most of this day, whether it is through reflection, a community service activity, or simply learning more about his efforts.
