The new playground at Happy Valley Park welcomed its first visitors on Thursday, Nov. 3 as Mayor Tom Ellis, Council President David Golobay, Councilor Brett Sherman, members of the Parks Advisory Committee, Rotary, Happy Valley Parks and Recreation Foundation, and other supporters of the project joined us for a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the new space. It was all smiles as kids tested out the sensory stations, went down the slides, and climbed to new heights.

Crews were literally putting the final touches on some of the equipment right before the event, so if you visit, you may notice a few areas still barricaded. Those will be completed soon, but not to worry – there is still lots to enjoy!
