Happy Valley Police seeks tips, additional victims after arresting multiple suspected car prowlers

The Happy Valley Police Department is looking for additional victims after arresting three suspected car prowlers.
On Tuesday, May 2, at 3:41 a.m., an alert resident called 911 to report people prowling around cars and houses in the area of SE Oath and SE Baden Powell Road in Happy Valley. A light-colored GMC SUV was reportedly following the suspects; one subject wore a headlamp and both were wearing hooded sweatshirts.
Sheriff’s Office Deputies serving the City of Happy Valley located the SUV on the 10200 block of Chief Obie Road with its doors open, parked in the garage of a house under construction. Deputies then contacted and arrested three suspects:
- Gilberth Alberto Colli Garma, 35, of Portland
- Armando Trinidad, 24
- Mercedes Lopez Cortez, 22, of Portland
All three suspects were arrested on charges of Theft III, Criminal Mischief II and Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle. Trinidad was additionally arrested on a Multnomah County warrant.
A package stolen from a residence on SE Baden Powell Road was found inside the SUV.
Happy Valley Police believe there may be additional victims, and is asking for the public’s help for tips and possible photos or videos of the suspects at work.
Residents in the area of SE Oath and SE Baden Powell Road are asked to check their cameras for any suspicious activity related to these arrests. Residents are also urged to report any other thefts that may have occurred between the evening of Monday, May 1 and the morning of Tuesday, May 2 by contacting our Non-Emergency Line at 503-655-8211.
