Construction activities for Phase II of the Superblock Pedestrian Improvements Project will begin Monday, Dec. 7 and are slated to continue through Friday, Dec. 18. This phase of the project involves the installation of sidewalk, curb and gutter, along with lane widening, grinding and paving on the south side of King Rd. from Melita Dr. to Regina Ct. and on the east side of 132nd, from one block north of Wellington Ct. to the intersection of 132nd Ave. and Ridgecrest. The project will also include lane widening, new sidewalk, curb and gutter and planter strip on the south side of Ridgecrest, from the intersection of 132nd Ave. and Ridgecrest, to just west of Parkwood Way. Construction activities will generally take place from 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday. During these initial stages of construction there may be some temporary lane closures, but access to individual residences will remain open at all times.
