Effective October 26, 2018, fire danger levels have been lowered to moderate and the burning of backyard fires is once again allowed. Per rules, the backyard open burn season includes burning on many rural properties within the county, but is prohibited year-round in city limits.
Backyard open burning is the burning of dried debris, no larger than 10’x10’x10’, and 50 feet from a structure. During the backyard open burn season, residents are asked to be diligent and call before commencing any burning by checking Clackamas Fire’s daily burn status hotline at 503.632.0211 or visiting the website at: www.clackamasfire.com. Please be cautious and follow safety protocols.
