Service Update

Temporary Entrance Starting June 3rd

The main doors to the library will close beginning Monday, June 3, 2024 and continue to remain off limits throughout the summer. During this time, library patrons will need to use the alternate entrance that leads to the current community room. Patrons can find this entrance located near the roundabout on Oregon Trail Dr. This space will serve as the library’s temporary lobby, where you will find self-check outs, a return box, and front desk staff ready to assist.

These temporary changes to where you can enter and exit the building are necessary during the next phase of construction for the library’s major makeover. The expansion project will add more space and features for our community to enjoy, including study rooms and a 300-person community room. Regrettably, this interim arrangement won’t allow this area to be used for programs or studying while the main entrance is shut.

The Happy Valley Library team recognizes this change may be inconvenient for some visitors to the library, but rest assured, library staff aim to help keep things running as smoothly as possible and are very much looking forward to welcoming you to the expanded library this coming fall.
