International Day of Happiness is March 20

Since 2013, the United Nations General Assembly has celebrated March 20 as International Day of Happiness. The day serves to signify the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world and invites people of all backgrounds to celebrate together.

In Happy Valley, the day offers its own traditions, with the Happy Valley Parks and Recreation team taking the helm to support a variety of fun activities that help commemorate the occasion. Between sweet treats and family-friendly activities, the City recognizes the day as a time to come together and promote positivity.

YOU’RE INVITED!
Join us Wednesday, Mar. 20 from 3:30 p.m.- 5:00p.m. at Village Green Park for a special celebration. The Happy Valley Parks and Recreation team will host a community craft that will call upon everyone to pitch in as we work together to create a giant puzzle showcasing what makes us happy! Games and complimentary mini-donuts and cocoa for a treat will also be offered! Friends, families, and neighbors are encouraged to attend the event together as we recognize the day as a community. *Village Green Park is located at 13786 SE Sieben Parkway (across from the Happy Valley Library)
