Field Trip Friday – Wine Tour 6/14

Our group will enjoy two separate wine tastings while taking in the views of these beautiful vineyards within the Willamette Valley!

First stop is at King’s Raven Winery – a family-owned vineyard and tasting room in Oregon City.

Later in the afternoon we will head to Pete’s Mountain Vineyard in West Linn for another tasting on their large outdoor patio overlooking the Willamette Valley!

We will depart from Happy Valley City Hall at 2pm and return by 7pm.

Have an aspiring comic artist in your family? Ever wonder what goes into creating comics? Students will work on basic drawing skills. They will explore and learn more about comics in general. They will finish the class with an increased skill set and a greater appreciation for this exciting genre of storytelling.

Community Pediatric Therapy

Kids Multisensory Art Class 6/29

Come celebrate summer and join pediatric occupational therapist Juliette Pierce with Community Pediatric Therapy to create a multisensory art project of an ice cream cone using shaving cream paint! Messy play is a great way to support a child’s natural development of their sensory system. Caregivers and their children will collaborate and bond through art!

1yr 6mos to 3yrs 6mos – 10:00am-10:45am

My Gym in the Park Session 2: Parent & Me Class

Session 2: August 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd

Your child will sing, dance, play games, watch puppet shows, and even have “Surprise Time!” Our youngsters feel great about themselves as they learn basic tumbling and sports skills in a fun and positive setting. Our curriculum keeps these active little ones engaged and captivated while improving their fine and gross motor proficiency and increasing strength and agility. Running, jumping, and spatial awareness are milestones in this program.

Some children may require grownup participation. In this program, you’ll see your child’s strength, flexibility, and agility increase as our teachers coach the kids through relays, fundamental gymnastics, and tumbling skills. Positive reinforcement abounds – and we promise your child will leave class with feelings of pride, accomplishment, and success!

Hanging Glass Flower Workshop 6/25

Experience the magic of glass art with Jenny Wells of Sweet Lomy Art. Hanging Glass Flower Workshop-

Learn the art of glass fusing by cutting, glueing and layering bits of vibrant colorful glass. Each participant will make up to 3 glass pieces that can be hung or displayed, all while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Happy Valley Park. Finished pieces will be taken to Sweet Lomy Art Studio (In Gladstone) to be melted in a kiln and ready for pick up within 2 weeks.

Enhance your knowledge of astronomy and our planet’s place in the cosmos with this evening course led by NASA scientist Derek Sears. This 6-week course will offer opportunities for stargazing and exploring the night sky using a small telescope.
