Concerts in the Valley is back for its 27th season, bringing music, community, and summer fun to the heart of Happy Valley, and with a special twist – In tribute to the City of Happy Valley’s 60th anniversary we are celebrating with a high-energy lineup of tribute bands honoring musical legends!
With stage lights glowing, amps humming, and laughter ringing out from the nearby splash pad, there’s no better way to spend a Thursday evening. You may even win a prize if you come dressed in the style of the band performing and are selected by our staff as Best Dressed!
Kids can join the fun in the Happy Zone—a dedicated activity area filled with crafts, games, and hands-on excitement. Coordinated by the Happy Valley Parks & Recreation team, the Happy Zone offers rotating activities each week, so there’s always something new for young concertgoers to enjoy while you kick back and soak in the tunes.

July 10 – Band After Midnight– ABBA Tribute
An all-star ensemble featuring members of NW’s most celebrated tributes including Taken by the Sky [Fleetwood Mac], Glass of Hearts [Blondie], and Life During Wartime [Talking Heads]. They capture the quintessential look & sound of ABBA, transporting audiences back to the golden era of pop. They recreate the harmonies, costumes, and energy that made ABBA a worldwide phenomenon, enchanting fans across generations.
July 17 – Black-Winged Birds – Counting Crows Tribute
Tyler Stenson and the Black-Winged Birds transport audiences back to the 90s and early 2000s as they perform Counting Crows’ greatest hits, such as Mr. Jones, A Long December, Round Here, and many more. Stenson is not your typical cover artist.
July 24 – Roll On – Alabama Tribute
Roll On brings the energetic combination of traditional country, with a little rock and roll, that exemplifies the Alabama sound. Experienced musicians and entertainers having performed in several different genres of music and show bands. Rock, Funk, Blues, Folk, and of course Country music. With this combined musical and entertainment experience, Roll On provides a spot-on live Alabama concert experience for old and new fans of the band’s numerous hit songs.
July 31 – Petty Fever – Tom Petty Tribute
An award-winning, full-production tribute to the Rock Hall of Fame musician that features captivating guitarist/vocalist (and Hollywood FAME Award Winner) Frank Murray. Experience a supremely authentic Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers concert experience…catch Petty Fever live! During the concert, you can also check out our Classic and Exotic Car Show!
August 14 – Shoot to Thrill – AC/DC Tribute
This AC/DC band is Portland’s amazing tribute to the Australian legends, bringing the anthemic riffs, shouts, and antics to the stage with pure passion. Hail hail to the good times, cause rock has got the right of way when Shoot To Thrill is on stage.
August 21 – Stone in Love– Journey Tribute
This tribute performs faithful renditions of classic hits from one of the most beloved rock groups of all time. They deliver a high-energy performance that showcases all the hallmarks of the Journey sound – soaring lead vocals, lush four-part harmonies, signature guitar licks, fat keyboards, and driving rhythms – on legendary hits known the world over. This is Stone in Love’s final summer of performances. You won’t want to miss this!
