Concerts in the Valley
Happy Valley Park will be the place to be each Thursday night, starting July 12th. This summer we have a great concert line-up planned, with old favorites and new faces. Concerts are from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Hope to see you there!
July 12 – Dancehall Days
Dancehall Days combines astonishing musicianship with a repertoire that is wildly diverse & authentic.
July 19 – Britnee Kellogg Band
Britnee is a county singer-songwriter and plays both originals and cover. Her sound has been compared with Miranda Lambert and Reba McEntire.
July 26 – Nu Wavers
The NU WAVERS play your favorites, college radio classics, and alternative gems! With five distinct singers, they capture the diversity of some of the most memorable eras in pop culture!
August 2 – My Happy Pill
My Happy Pill is a premier party and dance band, playing a fun, eclectic mix of funk, pop, rock, soul, R & B, reggae, and much more… there’s truly something for everyone! With a song list spanning all decades from the 70’s through today’s hits, you’ll dance the night away to your favorite classics, along with today’s best music, all done in a new, fresh way!
August 9 – Ants in the Kitchen
Ants in the Kitchen is NOT your typical rock & roll cover band. They’re an 8-piece “horn band” that plays a mix of classic 70’s era funk, blues, and soul…a danceable mix, but with the tone and force of a ROCK band.
August 16 – Patrick Lamb
Award-winning Patrick Lamb is a producer, singer, and song-writer bridging together his love of funk, R & B, soul and jazz with his southern roots.
August 23 – The District
The District is a high energy band consisting of local Firefighters who both serve and entertain the local community. The crowd is sure to be dancing and singing along to hits from the oldies, 80’s and 90’s, disco, funk, modern top 40, and more. Let The District take you on a musical journey!!
Concerts in the Park
Happy Valley Library will also be hosting a five-week concert series at the Village Green Park (across from the library). On Friday nights, beginning July 28, pack your picnic and blanket and come ready to enjoy a great night of music. Concerts will begin at 6:30 and wrap up around 8:30.
July 27 – No Time 2 Lose
No Time 2 Lose Acoustic Band combines their individual talents and varied musical interests into one unit of energy and fun and a glimpse into the past, performing American Traditional, Bluegrass, and more, with the sounds of artists such as John Prine and Gordon Lightfoot
August 3 – Big Yellow Taxi
Big Yellow Taxi bring an acoustic-based musical experience that takes songs from a variety of musical genres including but not limited to rock, r&b, country, jazz, and blues; rearranging them to fit the stripped-down instrumentation of an acoustic trio.
August 10 – Free Range Humans
This band of free-spirited rock musicians will delight with their energy and skill.
August 17 – The Rae Gordon Band
The Rae Gordon Band brings together award-winning and nominated musicians with a signature sound that spans from a danceable get up and groove to a haunting slide tone that will make you want to find a back porch and sit a spell.
August 24 – Rhythm Culture
Combining influences of the Caribbean and the Americas, and using a roots reggae foundation, this band infuses blues and jazz into their brand of Reggae music, guaranteed to get even the most reluctant of dancers out of their chairs.
