Community involvement played a crucial role in the creation of Happy Valley Park’s skate park. Through the Buy a Brick program, residents could purchase customized bricks and contribute directly to the amenity’s construction.
Today, the program has evolved beyond its initial purpose. It now provides park goers with a chance to leave a lasting legacy, offering them the opportunity to engrave their names or messages on a brick as a permanent testament to their support for parks throughout the City.

Embedded along the paths to the skate park and near the dog parks of Happy Valley Park, and beyond, the bricks serve as enduring symbols of support.
