In Happy Valley, all businesses are required to have a Business License. The intent of this licensing program is to provide revenue for municipal purposes and to provide for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Happy Valley through regulation of businesses, occupations and trade. All businesses licensed in the City are included in our online Business Directory and included in our annual Happy Valley magazine business listings.
To apply for a business license, please click here to download a Business License Application and submit your completed application to City Hall. The licensing of trades, shops, occupations, professions, and businesses in the City of Happy Valley is regulated through Ordinance 124, with fees established through Resolution 94-05. Upon the City’s receipt of your application and the payment of the appropriate annual fee, a license valid for one fiscal year, starting on July 1, will be issued.
Renewal applications will be mailed to all licensees approximately one month prior to expiration. Business licenses not renewed by July 20 will be considered delinquent and may be subject to additional fees.
