The City of Happy Valley is making limited updates to its comprehensive plan — the long-term guide for how the city grows and develops. The plan helps shape everyday land use decisions by setting clear goals and policies for the community.

As part of this limited project, the City will update and reorganize the plan to include recent and existing plans and policies. Examples include “sub-area plans” for specific portions of the City, such as Rock Creek, East Happy Valley, and Pleasant Valley North Carver. The City is also updating the plan to comply with required statutory updates on a variety of topics, such as housing and economic development.

The City is hosting an informal drop-in event where community members can learn more about the comprehensive plan, hear about potential updates, and ask questions.
