September 10th, members of Happy Valley City Council, various volunteer committees, and Happy Valley Hikers gathered at Southern Lites park to celebrate the grand reopening of the newly improved Mt. Scott Creek Trail. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of major enhancements designed to make the trail more accessible, safer and more enjoyable for all.
Updates to the trail include new asphalt pathways that make the trail more navigable, an upgraded boardwalk, a new bridge crossing and ADA upgrades to ensure access for people of all abilities.
