Public Notice

Notice is hereby given that on March 21, 2017, the City Council of the City of Happy Valley unanimously passed Resolution 17-32 calling for a hearing to be held at 7:00 PM on May 16, 2017 at the Happy Valley City Council Chambers, 16000 SE Misty Drive Happy Valley, OR 97086, to consider withdrawal by the City of Happy Valley from the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) consistent with and as authorized by ORS 222.524 with said withdrawal to be accomplished by December 31, 2017 if at all possible and no later than July 1, 2018.

The City Recorder is publishing notice of said hearing in a newspaper of general circulation in the City and shall cause notices of said hearing to be posted in four (4) places in the City all of which shall be as provided by and consistent with ORS 222.524(2).

The City Manager and City Attorney have been authorized to take such actions as they deem reasonable and appropriate to discuss preliminary matters on the proposed withdrawal with representatives of NCPRD in an effort to allow for the proposed withdrawal to be accomplished in an amicable and professionally appropriate fashion.
