The City is committed to improving traffic safety throughout Happy Valley. As part of this effort, speed limits have been reduced in the following areas:
- On 172nd Avenue between SE Sunnyside Road and SE Huckleberry Street, the speed limit has been reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph.
- On King Road between SE 129th Avenue and SE 145th Avenue, the speed limit has been reduced from 35 mph to 30 mph.
- On SE Idleman Road between SE Mount Scott Blvd and SE Bob Schumacher Road, the speed limit has been reduced from 35 mph to 30 mph.
These changes will help create safer streets for everyone, whether you’re walking, biking, or driving. Please watch for the updated speed limit signs and remember to drive safely!
