Michael D. Walter, AICP

Michael D. Walter, AICP is the City’s Economic & Community Development Director, managing the four Divisions (Economic Development, Planning, Engineering and Building) that comprise the overall Department. The City’s Economic & Community Development Department is responsible for all facets of growth management and land use, construction, and building permit issuance within the city limits. Michael has a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon.
