Home Occupation and Home Office
The City allows two types of home businesses: a home office or home occupation. A home office is more restrictive, but the review process is simple and easy and home occupations allow more intense uses, but also have a more extensive review process. Home occupations start with a mid-level pre-application request conference followed by a home occupation request which is reviewed by a Hearings Officer at a public hearing with notice to neighbors.
