At Tuesday’s City Council meeting, the Council formally added their support to a resolution created by the Happy Valley Youth Council which encourages the State Legislature to restrict the sale of flavored tobacco. This partnership underscores the dedication of both councils to safeguard the well-being of Happy Valley’s younger population and stems from the Youth Council’s impassioned drive to raise awareness about the dangers of drug and alcohol use. We are thankful to the American Cancer Society of Oregon and SW Washington, Clackamas County, and Clackamas County Health Housing and Human Services for supporting this important initiative! Learn more about our Youth Council’s efforts to bring youth mental health and wellness to the forefront in next month’s issue of HV News!

Joining the Mayor, City Council, and Youth Council are Jamie Dunphy with the American Cancer Society, and Jamie Zentner and Marc Cozornij with Clackamas County Health.
